How does TERA Environnement identify sources of indoor-air contamination?
TERA Environnement offers two complementary approaches. The first uses passive badges placed directly on the surface of an emitting material to measure formaldehyde and total VOCs in situ and identify the main VOCs released, without damaging the material. The second is laboratory screening using a micro-chamber emission system (µ-CTE): the material is placed in the chamber and swept with an air flow, while emitted molecules are collected on a suitable analytical medium (impinger, thermal-desorption tube, etc.).
