What does material labelling under the French Order of 19 April 2011 mean?

The French Order of 19 April 2011 requires manufacturers and importers of construction and decoration materials to label their products according to their level of volatile-substance emissions. The scale ranges from A+ (very low emissions) to C (high emissions). The substances concerned include formaldehyde, toluene, xylene and other VOCs. TERA Environnement performs the analytical measurements needed to determine a material’s emission class in accordance with this framework.
