What is ambient-air analysis and why is it important?
Ambient-air, or outdoor-air, analysis consists of measuring atmospheric pollutant concentrations in the outdoor environment. These measurements are essential for assessing the quality of the air people breathe, monitoring the impact of industrial activities, carrying out environmental impact studies, and supplying data to regulatory monitoring networks (AASQA). TERA Environnement offers a broad range of ambient-air analyses covering VOCs, aldehydes, acid gases, metals, PAHs, particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), total deposition using Owen gauges, settleable dust using DIEM plates, crystalline silica, PFAS, microplastics and many other compound families.
