How does TERA Environnement help qualify new materials before they are introduced into a cleanroom?
Before a new material, piece of equipment, consumable or coating is introduced into a cleanroom, TERA Environnement characterizes its outgassing potential using a micro-chamber (µ-CTE). The material is placed in a 6 cm diameter chamber and swept with air or nitrogen at temperatures ranging from 30°C to 250°C. Emitted molecules are collected on a suitable medium for identification. This procedure helps ensure that the material is unlikely to contaminate the cleanroom environment.
