What is TERA Environnement’s outgassing service?

Outgassing is an analytical method used to determine chemical emissions from a material or product. The material is placed in a closed chamber or micro-chamber and swept with air or nitrogen at temperatures between 30°C and 250°C, while emitted molecules are collected on a suitable analytical medium. TERA Environnement performs laboratory outgassing measurements for applications including identifying sources of indoor-air contamination, qualifying materials before cleanroom introduction and characterizing consumer products.
