Why measure air quality in the workplace?

Workplace-air monitoring, also known as industrial hygiene or occupational exposure monitoring, is intended to protect workers exposed to hazardous chemical agents. In France, the Labour Code requires employers to assess chemical risks and measure employee exposure levels to ensure compliance with occupational exposure limit values (OELVs).
